According to multiple sources, Eastern Michigan will name Tory Verdi as the next WBB head coach. Verdi has spent two seasons as Kansas and was an assistant at Nebraska for five seasons before that. He was also an assistant at Columbia and had a brief stint as the acting head coach there. Verdi spent the 2003 and 2004 seasons as an assistant coach with the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA. He helped the Sun to the Eastern Conference title in 2004 and the Eastern Conference finals in 2003.

The official announcement is expected sometime on Thursday.
