Just back from vacation – here are some things that I’ve heard…
• I can confirm that Tommy Jones has been hired as the new head coach at the College of Central Florida. He was most recently and assistant at Tampa and has also served as the head coach at Hillsboro CC (FL). He replaces Sharrona Reaves who resigned earlier this summer to become an assistant at West Virginia.
• I can also confirm that Mike Donley has become the head coach at Penn State Schuylkill. He will replace Ryan McGinley who had been the head coach there since 2005 (he left to take a HS gig in PA). Donley was the girls coach at Schuylkill Haven HS (PA) and has been out of the business for the past few years.
• We had a job posted for the head coach at Roxbury CC (MA). It sounds like that is just a formality – there is new leadership at the school, and they re-posted all of the coaching positions. I have heard that current RCC head coach Mark Leszczyk is safe and will retain his job.
