Daily Dirt – 2/27/14

Things are starting to heat up in the "dirt" world…

• I have heard from a good source, and since confirmed, that Arcadia (PA) head coach Lorie Khalil is no longer with the program. She had been at Arcadia since 2011 and compiled a 23-51 record during that time. She also spent six seasons as the head coach at Centenary College (NJ) (81-72). More info on this when Arcadia issues a statement.

• It looks like Steve Mix is out as the head coach at Trine (IN). The former NBA player has been at the helm there for the past two seasons. Word on the street is that assistant Ryan Gould will take over as the interim head coach while the administration figures out what the next step will be.

• Johnson and Wales (NC) is in the process of hiring their first-ever women’s basketball coach. I have heard that they are down to two candidates and can confirm that one of them is Wentworth Military College head coach John Jordan. He is a NC native who started the women’s program at WMC a few years ago. It sounds like interviews will wrap-up this week.
