According to a great source, there appear to be five finalists for the University of Rhode Island job. I have heard the final five are:

• David Caputo – Head Coach Bloomfield College. Former top assistant at Louisiana Tech. Led squad to 20-10 record and a league title this past season.

• Kia Damon – Assistant Coach Penn State. Has helped guide Penn State to back-to-back Big Ten Championships. Also served as an assistant at UMass and FDU.

• Angel Elderkin – Assistant Coach LSU. A native of Providence, RI. Has also worked at Tennessee, Virginia, and St. John’s.

• Jeff House – Former Assistant Coach Kentucky. A Northeast native who has extensive WNBA experience. Also worked as a men’s assistant at Rutgers and Jacksonville.

• Ashlee Kelly – Assistant Coach Iona College. Has been at Iona since 2009. Was the head coach at Mercy College (NY) before that . Played at Quinnipiac.
