Catherria Turner has been relieved of her duties as head women’s basketball coach at Dixie State effective immediately, athletic director Jason Boothe announced.

Boothe informed Turner of the decision Friday afternoon to go in another direction with the program.

An interim head coach for the 2014-15 season will be named shortly.

Dixie State will have no further comment on the matter at this time.
