Palm Beach State gave head coach Kris Ruffo her 300th career victory this past Saturday afternoon on the road as they defeated conference rival St. Pete 70-57. The Panthers started slow as they trailed at the half 32-26. Palm Beach State finally caught the host school with about 14 minutes to go in the game and then completely dominated the last 12 minutes extending their lead to 19 points. Ashley Jones came up with her 10th double – double of the year with 27 points and 12 rebounds while Tashi Thompson collected 17 and Alana Arias had 10. In addition, steady point guard Veronica Ryan dished off for 9 assists with only 1 turnover. The Panthers moved their record to 15-3 overall and 3-0 in the Southern Conference. They will play Tuesday night in "The Den" facing off against conference foe Broward in a 5:30pm game.
