The Athletic Director and Women’s Basketball Coach at Indiana University Northwest reports directly to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and is a member of the Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Leadership Team. This position is responsible for the development and oversight of the RedHawk Athletics Program. The Athletic Director and Head Women’s Basketball Coach has supervisory responsibility for the seven team department that competes in the Association of Independent Institution Conference in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manage athletics budget, supervise staff and coaches, market all sports programs, generate resources for athletics and lead in supporting and sustaining a student athlete culture that focuses on academics, service, teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership.

This person will also serve as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and lead recruitment, player development, scheduling, budgets, practice preparation and fundraising for the women’s basketball program.

Candidates will need to possess knowledge of NAIA policies and procedures, excellent communication and organization skills, experience in budget management and development, supervisory experience, and evidence of success in managing and developing teams, departments, units, etc. Candidates must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

Minimum Education
Master’s degree in physical education, sports management, business management or related discipline, OR, Bachelor’s degree with previous experience as an Athletic Director.

Minimum Experience
• 5 years with Master’s degree; 8 years with Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in recreation, facility supervision, intercollegiate athletics and 2 years of experience coaching required.
• Minimum of 7 years experienced coaching basketball, with at least 3 years as head coach.
