Mercer University, located in Macon, Georgia, is seeking a Graduate Assistant Manager for Women’s Basketball starting Fall semester, 2021. Mercer University is an NCAA Division I institution, which competes in the Southern Conference (SoCon.)

The Graduate Assistant will provide support and assistance to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach, the assistant coaches, as well as the Director of Player Personnel.

The GA receives graduate school tuition, as well as housing and a stipend each semester.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (Include but not limited to):

• Helps assistant coaches with individual workouts as well as rebounding for players
• Assists in the creation of recruiting materials
• Works closely with Director of Player Personnel on travel and other operations
• Assists with social media and marketing the programs
• Aids in the scouting process, utilizing Synergy & SportsCode
• Trains and oversees the student managers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of University and NCAA rules and regulations
• Experience using Photoshop or other graphic design platforms
• Prior collegiate basketball playing experience is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
