Description:
The Women’s Basketball Intern is responsible for assisting the entire coaching staff for a Division I Women’s Basketball program. Handles all aspects of team travel, equipment, game-film exchange, office support, database management and assists in all recruiting efforts. This position works under general supervision.

Essential Functions

  1. Assist in the daily management of the Women’s Basketball program to ensure that day-to-day activities run smoothly. Assist in organizing team travel to away competitions and training, purchasing and ordering of equipment, and operation of home contests.
  2. Assist in coordinating recruiting travel by coaches and prospective student-athletes.
  3. Assist the coaching staff in public relation duties in conjunction with broad-based athletic department activities for promotions and fundraising.
  4. Other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Supervisory Responsibility

  • This position directly reports to the Head Women’s Basketball Coach.

Work Environment

  • Travel and equipment budgetary responsibility.
