Description:
The University at Albany, a member of the America East Conference, invites applications for the position of Head Coach Women’s Basketball. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, overall program administration, practice and competition coaching, recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, scheduling, budgeting, public relations, fund raising activities and compliance with University, NCAA and America East Conference regulations.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years (five years preferred) of successful and effective Division I collegiate coaching experience or equivalent (head coaching preferred). Candidates must have a demonstrated effectiveness in organizational, supervisory, promotional, recruitment, budget management and communication skills. An established relationship with college coaching peers as well as established recruiting contacts at the high school, club and junior college levels is required. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to student-athlete academic success as well as a proven record of compliance with NCAA regulations. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
