Baldwin Wallace University Adds Cassie Seth to Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff

Veteran Baldwin Wallace University Women’s Basketball Head Coach Cheri Harrer has announced the hiring of Cassie Seth as an assistant coach.

“We are extremely excited to have Cassie join our staff,” stated Harrer.  “She has a wealth of basketball knowledge and experience both as a collegiate player and a coach.”

Seth comes to BW after serving as the varsity girls basketball coach at Parma High School for five seasons.  She led the program to back-to-back double-digit wins for the first time in 20 years and recorded the first playoff victory in over eight years.  Seth served as the Greater Cleveland Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game Coach in 2016.   She coached a conference player of the year, 25 all-conference and three all-district players as well as six players that set 10 school records.

Prior to Parma, Seth was the varsity girls basketball coach at Medina Highland High School for two seasons. She led the program to its first Ohio High School Athletic Association Division I tournament victory.  Seth was nominated as the coach of the 2010 Medina County Hoopla All-Star Game by the Medina County Gazette.  She coached seven all-conference and two all-district players.

Seth earned a bachelor’s of arts degree from Mercyhurst (Pa.) University in business with a concentration in sport business management and a master’s of science degree in sports administration from Valparaiso (Ind.) University.

While at Mercyhurst, she played four seasons of women’s basketball and was the 11th player to join the 1,000-point club with 1,105.  Upon her graduation, Seth ranked in the top 10 in points and steals. She earned all-conference and academic all-conference honors.   Seth was a three-time team captain and a two-time Dean’s List student.

She is an International Strength Training Association (ITSA) personal trainer and a dotFIT fitness professional.
